RIFF Overview

The Regional Inshore Fisheries Forums (RIFFs) provide formal engagement opportunities between inshore fishermen and other marine stakeholders. Each Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG) established a Regional Inshore Fisheries Forum (RIFF) for its region. Each RIFF comprises no more than 12 members of which there is at least one fisheries representative from the corresponding FLAG and an environmental representative. Each RIFF selects its own chair and vice-chair, both of whom act as delegates to the National Inshore Fisheries Forum.
