SFPA’s upcoming events for the Fishing Industry
Sea Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA) upcoming event for the fishing industry
Seafood establishment approval, vessel inspection requirements, landing obligations and technical measures are among the many topics at a series of free Fishing Industry Breakfasts for fishermen, processors, and shellfish producers that is being hosted by the Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA), the independent regulator or the sea-fishing and seafood sectors. The first breakfast took place in Dublin at the beginning of summer 2016 and the most recent event took place on the 22nd February 2017 at the Silver Springs Convention Centre, Cork. The next event is planned for Donegal on the 29th March 2017.
The SFPA will be joined by representatives from a wide range of organisations including: the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine; Air Corps; BIM; FSAI; Marine Institute; Navel Service; National Parks and Wildlife Service and the Workplace relations Commission amongst others. Together they will provide information and help with queries on the latest developments and regulations regarding sea-fisheries and sea-food industries, as well as day to day matters including quota management, food safety and trade.
The next SFPA Information Breakfast is taking place on Wednesday 29th March 2017 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at The Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town, Co. Donegal.
